Kustom Kruzr's exclusive and innovative Kruzr-Shiftr Automatic Shifter Conversion Kit is the result of 5 months of design, engineering, prototyping and testing of a radical new idea in custom shifters for the PT Cruiser. While the 5-speed PT Cruiser owner had a number of custom shift knobs available to personalize his or her PT, the automatic owner was stuck with the factory vinyl or leather clad "cobra-head" shaped trigger-style knob.

That is...until now! With the release of Kruzr-Shiftr, automatic PT Cruiser owners now have the same choices in custom aftermarket shift knobs. In fact, the Kruzr-Shiftr Conversion Kit allows even more choices since it uses a regular 3/8-16 threaded shaft to attach just about any manual shift knob.

How is this possible? The Kruzr-Shiftr's Patent Pending design utilizes a special adapter shaft that replaces the factory shift knob and shaft cover. No modifications are required to install Kruzr-Shiftr and all original factory safety features of the stock shifter are retained. The only change in operation is from a trigger-release to plunger-release function, meaning that with Kruzr-Shiftr you push down on the spring-loaded shaft to release the shift detents.

The Kruzr-Shiftr adapter shaft is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, polished to a high luster, then clear-anodized to prevent corrosion, fingerprints and resist scratching. Installation is an easy 5-minute job and the necessary tools are included in the kit!
